The human body is a marvel, and one that relies on constant motion, inside and out. Whether mechanical, chemical, electrical or hydraulic, the magic of the human body is intrinsically linked to movement.
Through the skilled manipulation of the body's soft tissues, Massage Therapy enhances movement at every level.
And every body is in a constant state of repair - our choices will determine the integrity and strength of that repair.
Simply put, we are mending all the time.
With Melanie's help, let's find the best approach to help you mend well.

What We Offer
Restorative Massage
Leaning on techniques from Classic Swedish Massage, CranioSacral Therapy, and Lymphatic Drainage, this is a very effective approach to treat chronic pain, headaches, edema and so much more. Aimed at improving circulation and respiration, as well as Immune and Nervous System function, expect to see gain without pain. Many folks also choose Restorative Massage for relief from physical symptoms of stress, anxiety, grief or sleep dysfunction. With relaxation in mind, this is an impactful therapy that offers comfort and measurable change. Consider it a therapeutic and holistic path to well being.
Myofascial Release
Expect hands-on release techniques (typically without massage oil) to address pain and dysfunction in the connective tissues, primarily fascia. The human body is host to an intricate web of fibres which runs continuous from head to toe, interrupted only by damage or trauma. This system wraps, supports and connects each and every tissue, organ and vessel. Pain and altered posture are often the result of chronic strain on the fascial system. The treatment goal is to restore motion through the release of adhesions, trigger points and restriction. Techniques may be direct or indirect, intense or gentle based on comfort.
Deep Tissue Massage
Ideal for athletes, injury recovery, or anyone looking to challenge stubborn mechanical restrictions, deep tissue techniques promote the release of scar tissue, adhesions and excess tone in underlying structures. Expect muscle stripping, frictioning and active release. Deep Tissue Therapy may produce discomfort during or after the session. Pain, however, is never the goal. Breath work and communication are key - we work together to match intensity to your tolerance. Guidance is also offered on self care (heat, ice, stretching and epsom salt baths where appropriate) to minimize risk of any post-treatment soreness.
